Rep. Skip Priest, R-Federal Way, will host an in-person town hall meeting Saturday, Feb. 20, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Federal Way City Hall, which is located at 33325 8th Avenue South.

The meeting is open to all residents in the 30th Legislative District, which includes Federal Way, Algona, Pacific, Milton, Auburn, Des Moines and parts of unincorporated King County. The purpose of the meeting is to hear from constituents on proposals being debated before the Legislature, including tax increases, education funding and other items of interest to communities.

“I cannot stress enough how important it is that citizens share their ideas and voice their opinions on the issues most important to them,” Priest said. “The Legislature and elected representatives serve the people who elect them, so as bills begin moving quickly through the second half of the legislative session, I need to have as much feedback as possible to ensure my votes on bills reflect the needs of the district.”

No RSVP is necessary to attend the meeting. If constituents need specific information on an issue they working on or impacts them individually, they are encouraged to call Priest’s office at 360-786-7830 to ensure information is available at the meeting.

Those constituents who cannot attend the meeting are encouraged to call 360-786-7830, write or e-mail Priest at priest.skip@leg.wa.gov.
