Maple Valley Youth Symphony to conduct holiday sing-a-long

The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra is inviting the community to sing-a-long holiday concert and open house at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, located at 23855 SE 216th St., Maple Valley.

MVYSO’s debut orchestra, philharmonia orchestra, symphony orchestra and small ensemles will be performing holiday favorites. A dessert reception will follow the concert.

There is a $5 suggested donation that will support MVYSO programs.

Since 2007, the MVYSO has been adding orchestra groups including small ensemble groups, an intermediate orchestra, a beginning strings program, and a beginning orchestra program.

Second trimester auditions will be held in early January for students wishing to join.
