Auburn schools to compete in ninth annual ASD Aquatics Triathlon

The ninth annual Auburn School District Aquatics Triathlon returns Saturday, running from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The team- and community-bonding event is a fundraiser for the boys and girls swim and dive and water polo teams. Auburn, Auburn Mountainview and Auburn Riverside high schools will participate.

Money raised supports team activities and equipment.

The triathlon begins at Walmart, where the field bikes to Veterans Memorial Park for the running segment. The triathlon continues at the Auburn Pool for the swim segment and ends at the park for a barbecue.

Donations and volunteers are welcome.
