No. 8 Auburn Mountainview hosts Glacier Peak Friday in 3A district action | Prep football

The No. 8 ranked 3A Auburn Mountainview Lions football squad ended its regular season this past Thursday with a 49-28 South Puget Sound League 3A win at Enumclaw.
The Lions (7-1 league, 9-1 overall) begin play in the 3A district playoffs on Friday, hosting WesCo South 3A Glacier Peak (6-3) at 7 p.m. Friday at Auburn Memorial Stadium.
Against the Hornets (3-5, 4-6) Auburn Mountainview piled up 432 yards of total offense, with 299 coming on the ground and 133 passing.
Junior Corey Barnes led the way, setting a school record with 236 yards gained on 15 carries. Barnes also had three touchdowns.
Senior quarterback Gresch Jensen added 48 yards and two rushing TDs on 10 carries. Jensen was also 8-of-13 for 133 yards, a touchdown and an interception through the air.
Ryan Lacey had five catches for 50 yards and Gavin Robertson added two receptions for 67 yards and a TD.
Defensively linebackers Aeron Watson and Antonio Corea both had 13 tackles and Robertson added 12. Corea also had an interception, as did Jensen and David Tupua.
