Kangaroos bounce Auburn Mountainview out of 3A state tourney with 9-6 loss | Fastpitch

Trailing 9-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning the Auburn Mountainview fastpitch squad was unable to rally and overcome powerhouse Lake Washington on Friday, losing 9-6 in the consolation brackets during day one of the Washington State 3A fastpitch tournament.

The Lions (13-6) posted three runs in the ninth, including an RBI single by Zoe Collins.

Offensively, senior Savannah Gusman powered the Auburn Mountainview with three hits and an RBI.

Also contributing from the dish were Megan Perius who had two RBIs and Emily Houck who had an RBI.

Collins was tagged with the loss, giving up 11 hits and striking out four.

For the Kangaroos (23-2), started Tori Bivens earned the win with Maddie Brown notching the save in relief.
