Auburn golfers compete at state 3A tourney

Auburn Mountainview finished 12th at the state 3A boys golf championships at Canyon Lakes Golf Course in Kennewick this past weekend.

Vincent Vu finished in a nine-way tie for 27th with a 160 total to lead the Lions. Vu shot 75 on the first day to make the cut at 82. His second-day round was 85.

Teammate Dallon Bennett finished tied for 42nd with a 166, with rounds of 82 and 84.

The Lions’ Randy Anderson did not make the cut.

From Auburn, Brandon Hazel finished 36th with a 161 after rounds of 82 and 79.

Bainbridge’s Sam Warkentine won the tournament with a 139, with rounds of 69 and 70, leading his team to the title.
