Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 7 and 15:
Feb. 7
Disorderly conduct: 11:33 a.m., 400 block of H Street Northeast. Somebody conducted themselves in disorderly fashion, and what’s more, near a church.
Shoplifting: 5:30 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Two women working together tried to steal $101.55 from Goodwill, but loss prevention officers were on to them.
Recovered stolen: 10:37 p.m., 1100 block of Valentine Avenue South. A Lojack hit on a reported stolen vehicle turned its status to re-possessed and in the tow yard of the repo company.
Feb. 8
Burglary: 5:30 a.m., 19 1st St. SE. Thieves driving a U-Haul sprinter-style van lifted a pallet of roofing material from a construction site in downtown Auburn.
Vandalism: 7:55 p.m., 3400 block of Scenic Drive Southeast. A bad guy or guys vandalized flood lights.
Feb. 9
Dogs on the loose: 2:25 p.m., 3502 Auburn Way. Police impounded two canines that were running loose without collars.
Shoplifting: 11:02 p.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. Two male types, a kid and an adult, were caught shoplifting booze from a grocery store. Police released the kid but forwarded charges to the City prosecutor and booked the grownup for his involvement.
Feb. 12
Theft: 4:45 a.m., 200 block of D Street Northeast. Person A stole person B’s satchel in the wee hours of the morning, to the consternation of B.
Weapons offense: 1:12 p.m., 30620 116th Avenue SE. School authorities caught a boy with a pocket knife at Rainier Middle School.
Feb. 15
Trespassing: 10:07 a.m., 1811 Howard Road SE. Auburn Dance told a very naughty man to sashay on outta there.
Theft: 4:45 p.m., 4400 block of 47th Street Southeast. A 21-year-old man stole $100 from his mother.
