The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 225 calls for service between Dec. 5 and 11, among them the following:
Dec. 5
Aid call: 9:30 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters examined an asthmatic woman who was struggling to catch her breath, and a private ambulance transported her to Valley Medical Center for more treatment.
Dec. 6
Aid call: 2:06 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters examined a woman who was complaining of a headache and visual difficulties, and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).
Dec. 7
Aid call: 10:36 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a man who was suffering a cardiac event, and medics transported him to MAMC.
Dec. 8
Aid call: 12:30 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters treated a woman who was suffering from leg and chest pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.
Dec. 9
Aid call: 3:48 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a young woman who had taken antibiotic medication a week earlier and was complaining of shaking all over. A private ambulance transported her to a local hospital.
Dec. 10
Aid call: 5:15 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters stabilized the wound of a teenage boy who had cut his hand while he was playing with a knife. The boy later visited a local hospital with a family member for further treatment.
Dec. 11
Accident: 10:39 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a two-car, head-on motor vehicle accident without injuries. All involved parties remained at the scene with Auburn Police.
