Auburn Toastmasters builds leadership skills; new officers kick off club year

Auburn Morning Toastmasters has started the new year with new leadership.

Officers for the club year beginning July 1 are: Dave Alldredge, president and treasurer; Sheryl Watkins, vice president for education; Sheri Weberg, secretary; Kim Haynes, sergeant-at-arms; and Janet Streifel, immediate past president.

Through self-paced educational programs, Toastmasters helps those shed the fear of public speaking while gaining organizational and leadership skills that enhance professional and personal lives.

Cost for members is less than that of a latte per week. Auburn Morning Toastmasters has been building leaders in our community since 1951.

The public is welcome to visit meetings to see what Toastmasters can do for them. Auburn Morning Toastmasters meets at 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Thursdays at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, 420 E. Main St.
