Auburn Police blotter | July 28

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between July 17 and 23:

July 17

Vandalism: 10:13 a.m., 1800 block of M Street Northeast. Somebody vandalized a woman’s sliding glass door and ran off.

Hit and run: 6:13 p.m., 1700 Auburn Way N. Police busted a woman for hitting an unoccupied car and skedaddling.

Forgery: 7:58 p.m., 1501 Auburn Way N. A guy tried to use bogus money to buy something at a Chevron station.

July 18

Rocks: Overnight, 1825 K St. SE. Anonymous stone chuckers chucked stones at Olympic Middle School windows, damaging them.

July 21

Animal problem: 12:53 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. While a woman was at Safeway, a dog bit her.

Theft: 1:10 p.m., 2117 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a woman’s wallet while she was at Muckleshoot Bingo.

July 23

Burglary: 10:32 a.m., 420 H St. NW. Police arrested a man for entering Pro Tow’s secured lot and trying to steal things.

Vandalism: 3 a.m., 4300 A St. SE. By drilling out the lock and protective box at a car wash property, somebody tried to steal money from a vacuum machine.

Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 1400 block of Henry Road Northeast. Somebody stole a man’s handgun from his vehicle.

Weapons offense: 11:34, 900 block of 28th Street Northeast. Police arrested a man for having a firearm he should not have had.
