Western Washington University’s Maddie Taylor, a 2014 Auburn Mountainview High School graduate, cleared 5 feet, 8 inches to finish second out of 32 high jumpers at the University of Washington Preview track and field meet at the Dempsey Indoor Center on Saturday.

Taylor’s NCAA Division II provisional mark is tied for the second-best jump in program history, just behind Miranda Osadchey’s 2016 effort of 5-8½. Taylor is competing in her first indoor season after capturing the Great Northwest Athletic Conference outdoor title in 2018.

Elsewhere, Molly House, a sophomore from Auburn Mountainview, joined the 1,600-meter relay team that finished 16th with a time of 4:10.09.
