Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between June 30 and July 8:
June 30
Assault: 5:38 a.m., 1500 block of 30th Street Southeast. Police busted a woman for an act of domestic violence.
Attempted car jacking: 6:26 p.m., 340 15th St. NE. A person tried to steal a vehicle in a Jack in the Box drive-thru.
Miscellaneous: 11:30 p.m., 500 block of 50th Street Southeast. Somebody pepper-sprayed a group of kids.
July 2
Theft: Overnight, 4150 B Place Northwest. A business complained that somebody had siphoned gas from one its work vans.
July 3
Thief: 11:57 a.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A man lost his wallet at Fred Meyer and someone cashed the check the man had had in there.
Vandalism: 1:50 p.m., 2600 block of Riverwalk Drive Southeast. Somebody pitched a rock at a semi truck, breaking its windshield.
Shoplifting: 3:45 p.m., 3702 Auburn Way N. One member of a band of beer thieves beat on an uninvolved patron of the store after the thievery, presumably over something the victim had said, police reported, though no one could remember what. By the time word reached police, the bad guys were already gone.
July 5
Vandalism: 1 p.m., 504 W. Main St. Somebody took their angst out on a hapless door.
July 8
Vandalism: 1:35 p.m., 210 37th St. SE. Some yahoo busted a woman’s windows.
Harassment: 2:59 p.m., Lake Tapps Parkway SE. A woman told police that some older dude who can’t take a hint keeps giving her unwanted flowers and gifts.
