The Seattle Division of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service wants to catch three people who have been making a practice since June of breaking into post office boxes and stealing mail from post offices in Auburn and Milton.

Now inspectors want the public to help them gather information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two men and one woman whose images were captured by video surveillance.

According to the postal inspector, the most recent incident went down on the evening of July 23 when the suspects again broke into multiple P.O. Boxes at the Auburn Main Post Office and stole mail. On that occasion, one of the men saw his face on a reward poster and ripped it from a wall.

“The Inspection Service takes the theft of mail as one of its highest priorities when it comes to investigations,” said Inspector in Charge Anthony Galetti. “When suspects are this brazen, we take that investigation to an even higher level. We continue to ask for the public’s assistance in identifying any or all of the suspects.”

The Postal Inspection Service has offered a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Anyone with information about these incidents or the suspects should call 206-748-5433, or the Inspection Service 24-hour line at 877-876-2455.
