The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 283 calls for service between Dec. 18 and Dec. 22, among them the following.

Dec. 18

Aid call: 3:37 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and King County paramedics treated a man who had fallen from a ladder, and the paramedics motored him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Dec 19

Aid call: 7:47 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and King County paramedics treated a man whose heart had stopped, and then transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Dec. 20

Car vs. pedestrian: 10:18 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters treated a man had been struck by a vehicle as he was crossing a street, and a private ambulance zipped him off to Valley Medical Center.

Dec. 21

Aid call: 8 p.m. ( Pacific). Firefighters evaluated and treated a woman who was concerned she was having an anxiety attack, and then they transported her to a local emergency room for further treatment.

Dec. 22

Service call: 3:34 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a report of a business that was complaining of a backed up toilet. Unable to clear the obstruction, they advised the reporting party to consult with a plumbing company.

Dec. 23

Accident: 10:10 p.m. (Lea Hill). Personnel assessed three people who had received minor injuries in a two-car accident that ended with both vehicles in a ditch. A private ambulance then transported two of the parties to a local hospital, while Auburn police held the other person in custody.

Dec. 24

Aid call: (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics administered Narcan to an unresponsive man whom they’d found in the back of a box truck with Auburn Police officers already ministering to his needs. Firefighters then used a bag valve mask with high-flow oxygen to bring the man back to consciousness, then transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
