Celebrate July 4 in Auburn at Les Gove Park

America’s 250th birthday is coming up next month and one way to celebrate is the City of Auburn’s 4th of July Festival.
The event, which free, will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 4 at Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth Street SE.
For unlimited access to activities like inflatables, laser tag, mini golf, rock wall, and pony rides, a wristband is required to be purchased. According to the City of Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation’s press release, if wristbands are purchased before noon on July 3, they are $10 per person. If purchased afterwards, the price will be $15 each.
Several different kinds of entertainment will be provided throughout the festival, beginning with the 11 a.m. kickoff and Opening Ceremony led by Mayor Nancy Backus. Artist groups such as Wally & the Beaves and the Billy Shew Band will follow the Opening Ceremony.
Additionally, many vendors will be in attendance with over 60 craft, artisans, nonprofit organizations, commercial vendors, and community groups, according to the press release.
A Car Show will feature 200 classic cars. Awards will be given out in 15 different categories for those participating in the Car Show.
