Auburn native Dennis Brooke discussed and signed his book at the Auburn Public Library on Sunday.

His newly released novel, “The Last Apostle”, is based on the question, “What if John, the last apostle, was still alive and lived in Seattle?” Brooke talked about the role of the library in the life of an author, his path to publication and answered audience questions.

The book was the subject of a front page Auburn Reporter Dec. 10 article. The manuscript was a finalist and semifinalist in several prestigious contests for Christian fiction.

Brooke is a fourth-generation Auburnite and 1978 graduate of Auburn High School. He is a former Air Force officer who will be setting out in April on a five-year stint with his wife of living in locations throughout the world and researching future novels in his series.
