Auburn Riverside pounds Peninsula 62-15, Auburn and Auburn Mountainview post losses | Girls basketball

The Auburn Riverside girls laid a 62-15 whupping on the Peninsula girls in South Puget Sound League 3A hoops action Tuesday in Gig Harbor.

The Ravens (4-1, 9-1) are currently second in the SPSL 3A behind Sumner (5-0, 7-1), who they meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 16 at Auburn Riverside High School.

The Ravens will host Lakes (3-2, 3-6) at 7 p.m. Friday.

ALSO: The Lady Trojans (1-4, 2-6) were unable to overcome a 28-11 first half deficit on Tuesday, falling 53-31 to Sumner in SPSL 3A action at Auburn High School. Sydney Dewit led the Trojans with 13 points. Lakes was led by jamie Lange’s game-high 16 points. Auburn will host Bonney Lake (2-3, 4-7) at 7 p.m. Friday… Auburn Mountainview (2-3, 5-6) fell 60-52 at Lakes (3-2, 3-6) on Tuesday. The Lions will host Peninsula at 7 p.m. Friday.
