Auditions set for ‘Mary Poppins, The Broadway Musical’

Auditions are open to the community for the production of 'Mary Poppins

Auditions for “Mary Poppins, The Broadway Musical” are slated this month at the Auburn Avenue Theater, 10 Auburn Ave, Auburn.

Sessions are 6 p.m. March 28 (adults, playable age 16-99) and 6 p.m. March 29 (youth, playable age 8-15).

Please arrive early to complete paperwork. Learn and perform a dance and songs.

Invited callbacks are 6:30 p.m. March 30 and 31.

Please bring: resume and head-shot (optional); tap dance shoes, if you have them (no tap dance experience necessary).

Adults are asked to prepare 16 bars of a musical theater song and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

No song preparation is necessary for youth.

Rehearsals begin April 11 and will be 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, with a couple of possible weekend rehearsals.

Shows are June 4-19 at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
