The lineup includes a Marx Brothers film series, culminating in a live performance of An Evening with Groucho, tap sensations Rhythmic Circus, the amazing magic of Steffan Soule, and the country music of the Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band.
The series also includes monthly comedy shows coordinated with the Seattle Comedy Underground, as well as the Seattle International Comedy Festival; Ave Kids, a series of Saturday matinees for kids; Halloween, holiday and Oscar movies; jazz; hip-hop dance; tributes to Elvis, Buddy Holly, Sinatra, and John Denver; and local Auburn Community Players presenting “The Wizard of Oz” in October 2011 and “Footloose” in June 2012.
Performances are presented at the Auburn Avenue Theater, a 250-seat intimate performance space, as well as at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, a 1,100-seat auditorium.
Tickets can be purchased on-line through www.auburnwa.gov/arts, in person at 910 Ninth St. SE, or on the phone at 253-931-3043.
