Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between March 24 and April 4:
March 24
Jacking beauty: 9:30 a.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. Persons unknown scuttled away from Rite-Aid with a large quantity of beauty products.
Theft: 2:55 p.m., 904 22nd St. NE. Somebody stole bedding from an apartment complex’s laundry room.
March 30
Theft: Overnight, 3320 Academy Drive SE. Somebody, or several of them in thieving and vandalizing cahoots, pried one of the Seventh Day Adventist Academy’s outdoor benches from a cement entryway when the school was on spring break.
April 1
Theft: 3 a.m., 31400 block of 114th Place Southeast. Somebody broke into a vehicle and swiped a laptop and a GPS.
April 4
Animal problem: 11:20 a.m., 4900 block of A Street Southeast. Auburn’s Animal Control Officer impounded a sick and injured feral cat and transported it to to Sumner Veterinary Hospital, where it was euthanized.
Assault with firearm: 7:42 p.m., 941 10th St. NE. Unknown subjects — OK, known to themselves, their relatives, their friends, etc. — pointed firearms at persons for reasons undisclosed.
Vandalism: 1000 block of 12th Street Northeast. Some local yokel unloaded his or her discontents all over a woman’s innocent patio furniture.
Vandalism: 10:50 p.m., 1400 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. Persons unknown chucked rocks at passing vehicles.
Vandalism: 1:12 a.m., 1300 block of 69th St. SE. Somebody damaged a man’s windshield.
