Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Jan. 16 and Jan. 22
Jan. 16
Theft from vehicle: 6:15 a.m., 6200 block of Terrace View Lane Southeast. Somebody broke into another’s work vehicle over the weekend and stole tools.
Theft: 1:30 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. While a man was shopping at Goodwill, somebody stole his backpack.
Subway robbery: 8:15 p.m., 3840 A St. SE. Implying he had a gun, a man in a Subway restaurant demanded money from the till. An employee chased the robber behind a building, and police later took him into custody.
Theft: 11:59 p.m., 2600 block of 24th Street Southeast. Somebody stole two tribal gift card clothing vouchers.
Jan. 17
Assault with injury: 1:15 p.m., 2700 block of 24th Street Southeast. A man assaulted his girlfriend with his hands and fists, injuring her.
Burglary: 6 a.m., 1234 Valentine Avenue SE. A person or persons unknown made a number of attempts over the weekend to burgle Pacific Landscape Management, leaving behind various evidence of their efforts but apparently getting away with zip.
Jan. 22
Trespassing: 9:18 a.m., 702 Auburn Way S. Proving that special orders don’t upset them, Mayor McCheese and his cohorts cooly gave a misbehaving man and a woman an order to stay away from their McDonald’s for five years.
Trespassing: 12:10 p.m., 1811 Howard Road SE. Two disruptive individuals were trespassed from Auburn Dance Academy.
