VRFA snuffs out early afternoon fire, nobody hurt

Valley Regional Fire Authority crews responded to a fire in a garage in the 2900 block of 14th Street Southeast in Auburn at about 2 p.m., Thursday.

According to the VRFA, firefighters quickly extinguished the conflagration, limiting most of the damage to the garage. Nobody was hurt, including two large dogs in the backyard.

A teenage boy who was home at the time called in the fire when he heard the smoke alarm.
