Four members of the Auburn Basketball Academy were among the players on the Seattle Stars hoops club team that won a prestigious national tournament over the weekend.

Maleek Arington, Kaden Lewis, Daekwon Watson and Kaden Hansen all contributed to the 11U boys basketball club team championship run in the fifth-grade division at the King James Shooting Stars Classic tournament, April 24-26 in Akron, Ohio.

The event, sponsored by NBA superstar Lebron James, features the best club hoops teams in the country, including 72 teams in the 11U, fifth-grade division.

Among the 72 teams in the division were 12 of the top-20 ranked teams in the nation, including six teams ranked in the top-10.

The Stars went 7-0 at the tournament, defeating the No. 2-ranked team – the Colonial Capital Basketball Club of Virginia – and the No. 4-ranked George Hill squad from Indiana, and vaulting into the No. 4 spot nationally.
