Coastal Farm and Ranchʼs local employees are sharing a $35,350 safety bonus with their co-workers across Oregon and Washington.

“Safety is the most important thing in our stores,” according to owner Buzz Wheeler. “We never want our employees getting hurt. Theyʼre more important than anything we do.”

Coastal Farm already has a safety incentive plan that rewards employees for remaining safe throughout the year.

This month the company received an additional rebate from its workersʼ compensation carrier, SAIF and has decided to share that money with its employees, along with an additional cash incentive from Coastal.

“We are proud of our Associates and their commitment to safety. We want to thank them by sharing this directly with them,” Wheeler said.

The Northwest-owned company operates 12 stores in Oregon and Washington.

The company is celebrating its 50th anniversary as part of the farm and ranch community and employs more than 450 people.
