Congressman tours NW Territorial Mint, witnesses thriving company

Congressman Adam Smith’s recently toured Northwest Territorial Mint. The growing Northwest company recently was named Medium Private Employer of the Year by the Washington Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment.

Smith, an advocate of military personnel and a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee, saw a working mint production line and talked to employees and supervisors, including retired Command Sgt. Major and account executive Bruce Proctor.

With the bulk of its in-demand line of military challenge coins, custom medallion and other world-class minted items minted on site in Auburn, CSM Proctor discussed the company’s role as a source for jobs in the Congressman’s district.

“As a retired CSM, it’s a special honor to meet an elected official who supports our troops and veterans. It was also great to see his interest in a local business that’s creating jobs for his constituents,” Proctor said.

“We’re proud to have Representative Smith learn about our commemorative products that are available to military members, corporations and anyone looking to honor achievement with a minted item of timeless quality.”
