The Café Prestige has opened next to Vision Quest Health and Fitness in the Auburn SuperMall. The restaurant – accessible from Vision Quest, offers 31 smoothie flavors, espresso, chai tea, Pioneer coffee and fountain drinks. They can be paired with a selection of sandwiches and salads or gourmet bakery items like Napoleons and Euro-Sweet cones.

Diners can also watch their shows from three TVs.

Café Prestige is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. except Sundays when it is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Free workshops available

The City of Auburn and Mark Hovind, president of JobBait, are providing free workshops to help job seekers maximize their job-finding odds by reaching directly into the hidden job market.

The workshops will teach job seekers how to use fierce job-hunting strategies in an incredibly competitive environment. The free workshops will be held 3:30-5 p.m. Thursdays at the White River Valley Museum, 918 H St. SE, Auburn, for the duration of the recession.

Participants should bring a few copies of their resume and cover letter to the workshop in order to help make improvements.
