Super Refund Saturday – a one-day event providing free income tax preparation for qualified taxpayers – runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at Highline Community College Outreach Center (Building 99), 23835 Pacific Highway S., Des Moines.
The free tax service is for qualified taxpayers, including determining eligibility for a tax refund through the Earned Income Tax Credit. EITC pays eligible, low- and moderate-income tax payers amounts ranging up to $5,751. However, 15-25 percent of eligible households unfortunately miss out on EITC benefits they are entitled to receive, income tax experts report.
Free tax return assistance also is available for small businesses.
HCC, KeyBank and United Way of King County presents the one-day event.
