There is a new day coming to Auburn. We soon will be electing a new mayor for our fair city.

I would like for us to elect a mayor who has financial expertise, has experience of a number of years of serving on a City Council, has grass roots in the City of Auburn, supports improving our roads, our public safety, our police officers and firefighters.

There is only one candidate that fits all of these requirements, and that is Nancy Backus.

She has the financial experience at Boeing, has served on our City Council for a number of years and has voted to support our roads and improve our public safety.

She is her own person and has always had time to sit down with a citizen and listen, listen to the concerns of our community and work to implement those concerns if possible.

Come August, we all need to support Nancy Backus for mayor.
