It is important to know your candidates, and I have known Nancy Backus since high school. I have watched her for years volunteering and serving our community. Her willingness to give is priceless.

She will be giving up a good career if elected, and I appreciate the sacrifice she will make in her personal life to give to her public life. We need a mayor with vision, integrity and the ability to be an independent thinker. Nancy has always been able to see both sides of the story before making decisions. That is a necessary skill to be an effective leader.

Nancy will be able to make Auburn the great place it can be. We all deserve a vibrant downtown, a thriving business community.

Nancy will listen and get a better understanding on how to help the residents of Auburn solve important issues. Nancy already has the experience needed for the job serving on the City Council for years and has the financial skills working at The Boeing Co. needed to run the City.

Auburn needs strong leadership, Auburn needs Nancy Backus.
