I am an Auburn resident but currently visiting Casa Grande, Ariz. Right now the temperatures are beginning to hit 90 degrees.

My friend that I’m staying with received his water bill today and to my amazement, it was only $33.29. My water bills since the beginning of the year have been over $100.

With no water consumption on the bill they’ve been hovering right around $100, and my February bill with the water consumption was $131.06.

I have repeatedly complained to the mayor of Auburn and repeatedly made suggestions to fix this matter to no avail. I am sick of the high cost of water in Auburn and everyone that lives in Auburn should be, too.

In an area where water is so plentiful, shouldn’t something be able to be done to lower water rates? Where is all the utility bill money going? We need some answers.

If Arizona can do it, why can’t Washington?
