Job well done, WM

As a proud parent of an Auburn Junior City Council member, I am always encouraged and excited to see youth get involved in our community and demonstrate leadership and civic engagement.

On a recent trip to the Auburn Farmers Market, I had a chance to meet some of the students who are part of Waste Management’s “Recycle Corps” summer internship program. They were dynamic and engaging as they shared tips for proper recycling, and clearly were enjoying their roles as educators.

This program is just one more example of how this company has been a true partner for our community – Waste Management has shown its commitment to Auburn over the years by investing in CNG trucks, through education and outreach to help us achieve our sustainability and recycling goals, and as an integral member of the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce.

I was very impressed to learn that they are also supporting our future leaders.

Hats off to Laura Moser and the local WM team.
