I am very glad to have a City Council that supports our community. The seven working together to accomplish good things, like the animal shelter.

Think of it – all seven (not just one who is trying to take the glory) – leading our community to be the best we can be.

More odd than taking credit for a group is a statement about “filling the 18 budgeted police officer positions.” First, since when did the firefighters start talking on behalf of the police? Secondly, I talked to the department and all but two are filled.

You see, we have officers on leave for the military who are serving our country and others who are getting well from line-of-duty injuries.

We have a great police force and the VRFA folks should stick to their own business of putting out fires.
