Pass the bond; let’s build a new school

During times of disaster, Americans are some of the most generous people on Earth.

During times of disaster, Americans are some of the most generous people on Earth.

For example, Americans gave almost $2 billion to Haiti, and 650 schools there benefitted. Unfortunately, a lot of the money did not make its intended target.

I do not have kids in the Auburn School District, but I have been in Auburn High School. I certainly do not embrace taxes. However, if this area had an earthquake, we would not want our kids to be injured or killed, even if we thought others would donate to rebuild.

It is on us. Voters, please consider voting to approve the bond to build a new Auburn High School.
