It was interesting to read about the update to the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center’s emergency area. I would like to know what happened to the hospital’s third floor rehab area? Went to visit there recently and it was “gone.”

This was the most wonderful rehab area. Staff and doctors were magnificent. Small, but extremely efficient.

After a prolonged stay in the hospital for double pneumonia, I was privileged to be accepted there for rehab, and if it wasn’t for their care – and in their words, “working my butt off six days a week” – I would probably be in a nursing home. I cannot speak more highly of them.

I was 79 years old at the time, and there were those who wanted to give up on me. My daughter and the rehab prevailed. I am now 82 and back to my old self, going strong.
