Congratulations to the winners of the Best of Auburn.

Our local businesses are important to our city. Some of our restaurants didn’t even make the finalist, which I find confusing since the contest was for the best of Auburn.

One of the finalists in the contest was not even in Auburn, nor was it in King County.

As our local paper, you should not have even considered these votes. Because of this, many restaurant owners lost out on being recognized for their fine food, good service, and a gathering place for the local residents of Auburn.

I do hope next year that entries are for Auburn only.

Again, congrats to all the winners. And to the residents of Auburn, please support your local businesses. They are the heart and soul of our community.
