Mayor Nancy Backus sits on the Sound Transit Board and sinfully defended the dishonest tab tax calculation used in ST3 in a discussion with Sen. Dino Rossi.

Nowhere in the ballot was the MSRP calculation quoted. There was no reason to believe that the outdated method used back in the 1990s by the state would have been resurrected. This method is so dishonest I am not sure how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror each morning knowing that they passed this ridiculous tax onto their citizens in a community that won’t even see or benefit from light rail.

She sold us out. It is time for someone else to represent the City of Auburn.
