Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith to bring ‘2 Friends’ Tour to Puyallup Fair Sept. 16

Multi-platinum recording artists Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith will perform at the Puyallup Fair on Sept. 16, part of their 20-city U.S. tour.

Grant and Smith will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m., the second act to book a date in the Fair’s 2011 Concert Series, presented by Columbia Bank. Tickets go on sale on at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 through www.thefair.com/concerts – not Ticketmaster – or by phone (1-888-559-3247). The new phone number will be staffed daily, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

To save the convenience charges, purchase tickets in person at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center box office, 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 26. Ticket prices are $50 golden circle; $35 infield; $30 and $25 grandstand seating. Seats are reserved and include Fair gate admission.

Grant (“Baby Baby,” “Every Heartbeat,” “Father’s Eyes”) and Smith (“Place In This World,” “I Will Be Here For You,” “Somebody Love Me”) are two of Christian music’s most recognized artists. They have combined to win nine Grammy Awards and sold more than 47 million albums. They first toured together in 1982 on Grant’s Age to Age Tour.
