Auburn Regional Health Fair set for Sept. 18

Auburn Regional Medical Center will celebrate its new 43,000-square-foot medical plaza with a free health fair and open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 18. The fair will include health screenings, exercise and cooking demonstrations and behind-the-scenes tours.

The health fair, which features hospital experts and community health partners, will offer free blood pressure, blood glucose and vascular health screenings. Zoomba dance and Pilates instructors will focus on fitness, while local experts share information on everything from stroke warning signs to cooking healthy on a tight budget.

During the health fair, the public can tour the new Auburn Regional Medical Plaza, which houses a comprehensive cancer center, sleep disorder center, orthopedic center and medical offices. Tours will include a behind-the-scenes look at one of the state’s most advanced linear accelerators for cancer treatment.

Health fair and tour activities will take place at the Auburn Regional Medical Plaza located at 121 N. Division Street in Auburn and across the street in the Auburn Regional Medical Center Atrium at 202 N. Division Street.

Auburn Regional Medical Center is a 162-bed hospital offering comprehensive medical services including emergency and Level III trauma care. It has served the community since 1921.
