Auburn Wine and Caviar presents singer, songwriter, instrumentalist

Cruso to perform Jan. 13

Celebrating the new year, San Juan Islands songstress Carolyn Cruso visits Auburn on Jan. 13 to perform at Auburn Wine and Caviar.

The program is from 6 to 9 p.m. at the venue, 2402 A St. SE. There is no cover.

Cruso weaves a web with her intricate and driving guitar playing, expressive vocals and compelling lyrics.

Her music is largely inspired by her travels, in the U,S, and Europe, as well as her long connection to nature, and keen interest in the stories of people she meets out on the road. Traveling minstrels, seekers, divine misfits, glorious places, forgotten corners, the remaining pockets of beauty left in the wake of man’s progress.

Wielding two guitars, a hammered dulcimer and her voice, Cruso roams the back roads of the country and of the mind taking the listener on a journey of beauty, love, redemption, compassion and humor.
