Beginner’s Luck’s to perform at Nashville

Beginner’s Luck is on their way to Music City, USA.

Auburn Mountainview High School’s award-winning barbershop quartet is participating at this weekend’s Barbershop Harmony Society International Competition in Nashville, Tenn.

The Evergreen District Collegiate Quartet champions, under the direction of Karen Frerichs, will compete against 22 other collegiate barbershop quartets from throughout the country on Saturday morning.

Beginner’s Luck is comprised of Jake Lombardo, Dmitriy Spatarel, Daniel Frerichs and Cory LiaBraaten.

Beginner’s Luck earned the trip to Nashville after a successful run at the district competition in Spokane. They scored higher than all 12 quartets in the competition, which included quartets of all ages.

The Evergreen District encompasses many regional states.

Beginner’s Luck is ranked seventh in the district among quartets of all ages. They will compete in Boise on Oct. 25 in a district competition.
