CMT Award winner Chance McKinney and band Cross Wire are bringing country to the Auburn Ave Theater on Saturday.
McKinney n’ Cross Wire will play “industrial country,” a blend of country with ’90s Rock, ’60s Motown and heavy metal influences.
Their 2010 tour dates alone include such notable country headliners as Dwight Yoakam, Jamie O’Neal, Grand Funk Railroad, Creedence Clearwater, Pat Green, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, .38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Based in the Pacific Northwest, CMCW is comprised of McKinney, longtime friend and drummer Brian Bujacich, and guitar “Super Duo” Paul Schille an Ray Neyens. Together, the band stands at 25 feet tall and is quite possibly the tallest band in the world.
McKinney, the winner of CMT’s Music City Madness, is considered the No. 1 “unsigned” singer/songwriter in the nation. In April of 2010, he filmed a CMT Studio 330 Session with Steel Magnolia and the great Reba McEntire.
