Christian music sensations Casting Crowns to play State Fair on Sept. 18

The Washington State Fair welcomes Casting Crowns with special guest Matthew West on Monday, Sept. 18, part of the Columbia Bank Concert Series.

Prolific CCM band Casting Crowns has achieved sales milestones with 10 million album sells, including one RIAA 2x multi-Platinum album, four RIAA Platinum albums, two RIAA Platinum DVDs, seven RIAA Gold albums, four Gold DVDs, one RIAA Platinum certified single and five RIAA Gold certified digital singles. The band holds the position as Billboard’s top-selling act in Christian music since 2007.

Matthew West is a four-time Grammy nominee, a multiple-ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner and Dove Award recipient, and was awarded an American Music Award (2013), a Billboard Music Award (Top Christian Artist, 2014), a K-LOVE Fan Award (2016), and named Billboard’s Hot Christian Songwriter of the Year (2016).

In addition to his own recording career, West has co-hosted the K-LOVE Fan Awards two times and has more than 130 songwriting credits to his name, including cuts by Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, and Mandisa, among others.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 1 at 10 a.m. Visit thefair.com and join the free E-Club for access to the best seats and ticket offers. E-Club members get the opportunity to buy tickets to all shows in the concert series lineup, before the general public.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday, March 4 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $50, $40 and $30 and include fair gate admission. Tickets will be available on the fair website or by phone at 888-559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the state fair’s box office at 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on site will be charged a $2 per ticket service fee.
