Enrique Iglesias is undeniably the biggest Latin recording artist in music history, having sold more than 70 million albums, and boasting 68 No. 1 charted positions on the Billboard charts. Songs like “Hero,” “Bailamos,” and “Be With You” draw fans to his tours around the world.
Iglesias will perform Sept. 18 at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center, part of Columbia Bank’s concert series. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday on the fair website, www.thefair.com/concerts or by phone 888-559-FAIR (3247), daily, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. To save the convenience charges, purchase tickets in person at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center box office at 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Golden Circle tickets are $200, with other tickets selling at $120, $100, $80 and $50. All are reserved seating, and include Fair gate admission.
Enrique Preysler Iglesias was born in Madrid, Spain, to Julio Iglesias and Isabel Preysler in 1975. When he was eight he moved to the United States. At the young age of 15 Enrique started writing music. He spent a year studying business administration at Miami University before he decided to pursue music full time. He released his first album in 1995.
To date, Enrique has released nine studio albums and two greatest hits compilations, and has another on the way. His last album, Euphoria includes six No. 1 hit singles and has sold more than 18 million songs. His 11th dance club song, “Tonight (I’m Loving You),” made him the king of the chart beating out Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 hits in Billboard history.
Enrique has 22 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Latin Songs Chart, as well as having multiple #1 songs across the Billboard charts, combining to the 68 No. 1 charted positions. “Escape,” “To Love a Woman” (duet with Lionel Richie), “Do You Know” and “Not in Love” draw fans of all nationalities and languages.
