Kevin McCaffrey headlines September’s Comedy at the Ave lineup this Friday night.

The curtains open at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Auburn Avenue Theater, 10 Auburn Ave.

McCaffrey made his network TV debut on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” after which he was chosen by Letterman to be the show’s warm-up comic. He is a regular and two-time champion of truTV’s “Comedy Knockout,” and appears every week on truTV’s “Greatest Ever” series, and “truTV Presents: World’s Dumbest.”

McCaffrey album, Nice & Drunk, was named Sirius XM Comedy album of the month in June 2018, and it was No. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon comedy charts in its debut week. It has more than a million streams.

He hosts the popular College Stories podcast, a weekly show wherecomics, writers, and actors tell their craziest, funniest stories from college.

His previous TV appearances include VH1’s “I Love the 2000s,” History’s “I Love the 1880s,” and multiple shows on The WWE Network, including “The Edge & Christian Show, “and WWE’s “The List.” He is the lead writer for thetrivia game, “HQ Sports.”

Tickets are $18 for adults (must be 18 and older) and $15 for students and seniors.
