Kid Rock to perform Sept. 26, final day of Puyallup Fair

With his latest gig of hosting the CMT Awards on June 9, Kid Rock continues to keep his name in the international spotlight. Acclaimed as a top performer in the rock, pop, and country arenas, Kid Rock has sold 22 million albums and received countless awards for his music, including super-hit song and video, “All Summer Long.”

The Kid Rock concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26. The concert is part of Columbia Bank’s Puyallup Fair concert series lineup at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center. Kid Rock’s music is a mix of Southern rock, blues, country-tinged ballads and hip-hop. He doesn’t believe that music should be complicated.

His ninth album, Rock N Roll Jesus was released on Oct. 9, 2007, and was the first album to go No. 1 in his career, selling 172,000 copies in its first week. The third single on the album, “All Summer Long” became a smash hit, with the song and video winning CMT, People’s Choice and Detroit Music Awards.

His next album will be a triple disc with one album of rock, one of hip hop, and one of country. Musicians Bob Seger, Lenny Kravits, James Hetfield, Merle Haggard and George Strait will guest on the album.

Kid Rock is multi-talented, having made guest appearances on WWE Raw, King of the Hill, South Park, CSI: NY, VH1 and MTV, as well a having his own clothing line, Made in Detroit, with proceeds awarded to aid music scholarships, and introduced his own beer, Bad Ass Beer in July 2009.
