Library to host free class on native plants

A free class, Using Native Plants in Your Landscape, comes to the Algona-Pacific Public Library on Jan. 12.

King Conservation District’s resource specialist/plant expert Jacobus Saperstein presents the class from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library, 255 Ellingson Road, Pacific.

Learn about incorporating native plants on your property and discover the benefits to make native plants work for you. Learn where to plant certain species and what species will work the best on your particular property to reduce plant mortality and increase savings.

The King Conservation District, a non-regulatory non-enforcement organization, provides education and technical assistance to landowners on the wise use of natural resources.
