Music, poetry coming to The Station Bistro

Live music and poetry, featuring Michael Schein and the Killer Poet Jazz Band, will perform from 2 to 5 p.m. June 15 at The Station Bistro, 110 Second St. SW, No. 125, Auburn.

Schein of Carnation is the author of at least two novels and a slew of poems. His confirmed novels are “Bones Beneath Our Feet” (2011) and “Just Deceits” (2008). Schein has taught poetry and fiction at a number of venues. He is a speaker for Humanities Washington and the Director of LiTFUSE Poets’ Workshop. His poetry is supported by a grant from 4Culture; it has been nominated for the Pushcart twice.

The Killer Poet Jazz Band is the fusion of Kenny Mandell sax, Don Berman percussion and Schein’s strange vocals. They are sponsored by a grant from King County 4Culture.
