Orianthi cancels opening for Lambert at Sept. 21 Puyallup Fair concert

The Puyallup Fair has just announced that effective immediately Orianthi will no longer be opening for Adam Lambert at the Fair on Sept. 21. “American Idol” star Allison Iraheta will be taking her place.

Puyallup Fair ticket holders who purchased tickets to see Orianthi have three options with the tickets they presently hold for the show. They are:

1. Keep the tickets and enjoy the Adam Lambert concert, with Special Guest Allison Iraheta.

2. Exchange the tickets for another grandstand show at the 2010 Puyallup Fair. The ticket holder will be responsible for the price difference if the selection is a higher-priced ticket. For lower priced selections, refunds for the difference will be made. This transaction must be completed at the Ticketmaster outlet where the original ticket was purchased.

3. Return the ticket for a refund, which also includes convenience charge refund. Tickets must be returned to location of purchase.

Ticket holders who want to make an exchange or refund must do the following:

• Phone or Internet purchasers: Call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.

• Tickets purchased at a Ticketmaster outlet: Take the ticket to outlet where purchased.

Though she is only a teenager, Iraheta is living a dream, having made it in the top four contestants on “American Idol.” Add to that a debut album, Just Like You, which was released Dec. 1, 2009, and her first single, “Friday I’ll Be Over U.” The album leans toward contemporary pop/rock.

The talented singer is also a songwriter and guitarist. She co-wrote “You Don’t Know Me” along with Mitch Allan, David Bassett, and David Hodges (formerly of Evanescence).
