Nearly Dan, a Seattle based Steely Dan tribute band, performs at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Auburn Avenue Theater.

Nearly Dan is composed of 12 national musicians who share a love for the music of Steely Dan. The professionals cross musical genres, including rock, R&B, country, fusion, swing and jazz.

Referred to as the “perfect musical antiheroes for the Seventies” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Steely Dan performed from 1972 to 1981, then reformed in 1993 to continue recording. They are known for their complex jazz rock/rock sound that spanned nine studio albums.

The current incarnation of Steely Dan, as always with Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, recently finished a national tour that included a Redmond show in August.
