Rodeo action, country stars coming to the state fair Sept. 10-13

Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, Jimmie Allen and 38 Special to join the country party

Country music stars and top rodeo performers come to the Washington State Fair on Sept. 10-13.

The ProRodeo Tour Playoffs kick off Thursday, Sept. 10, followed by a grandstand concert with Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry. The next morning, the party continues with the Rodeo Pancake Breakfast at 8 a.m. in downtown Puyallup, followed by the annual Washington State Fair Western Rodeo Parade and Cattle Drive at 10 am, and free gate admission to The Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a new school supply donation to Communities In Schools.

The ProRodeo Tour Playoffs continue on Friday and Saturday, including both evenings and a Saturday matinee show. The evening performances will be followed by a grandstand concert. Jimmie Allen takes the stage on Friday, Sept. 11, and 38 Special performs on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The Puyallup Finals close out the four days of Rodeo action, at 1 p.m. Sept. 13.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26. Visit thefair.com/subscribe and join the free E-Club for access to the best seats and ticket offers. E-Club members get the opportunity to buy tickets to all shows in the Columbia Bank Concert Series lineup, before the general public.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb 29. Tickets will be available on The Fair website, thefair.com/rodeo, or by phone (888) 559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Washington State Fair’s Box Office, 9th Avenue SW and Meridian Street on most Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. after March 3. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on-site will be charged a $5 per ticket service fee.
